Somerset Hideaway

At The Penscot Inn we pride ourselves on offering a friendly welcome, value for money and a relaxing atmosphere in a building as individual as Guy and Sarah who own it.

Sitting away from the hustle and bustle of modern life The Penscot Inn is ideally located, whether you wish to walk the West Mendip Way and admire the beautiful countryside that is Somerset or enjoy the delights of Bristol, Bath and Wells.  There are 10 golf courses within easy reach, horse riding and shooting as well as Clarke’s Village, Street and Weston Super Mare….just take your pick.

The twelve en suite rooms have been decorated to reflect the individuality and quirks of the building.  All are three star with either shower or bath, some overlook the Village Green, some have original fireplaces and all have T.V. and tea/coffee making facilities (we are still working on wi fi) hairdryer, iron and travel cot are available on request.

Downstairs you can relax in either the bar which has French windows overlooking the Village green or the adjoining Garden Room which with its original parquet floor and classic Lloyd loom furniture creates a light and airy space in which to unwind from the exertions of the day.

Food is available every day and can be eaten in either the Bar or Garden room and from Thursday nights there is the added option of our vibrant and contemporary Bistro.
