Food at The Penscot Inn

Food is available everyday between 12 – 2 and 6 – 9.
On Sundays food is served all day between 12 – 8.

The Barn Bistro is open:
Thursday, Friday, Saturday night 6 – 9
Sunday 12 – 8.

Our Bar menu features homemade soup, baguettes, steak and kidney pie through to Steaks and traditional favourites, all of which can be eaten in either the Bar or the Garden Room and even outside in warmer weather.

The Barn Bistro offers a different eating experience with a changing menu tempting you with offerings such as Mussels cooked in local cider with bacon, smoked haddock leek and pea tart to start.  Competing for attention on the main courses are dishes such as black bean roasted Sea Bass, Peppered Duck breast with spiced plums, smoked Somerset loin of Pork with apricot and thyme or Rack of local Lamb.

On Sunday the Bistro offers a set Sunday Lunch with 2 courses for £10.95 and 3 courses £13.95.

We regret that we are unable to accommodate any person(s) with a serious and/or life threatening nut or food allergy as we cannot guarantee the provenance of every item of food in our kitchen. Our chefs are happy to cater for other dietary needs such as gluten free vegetarian or vegan diets, but please tell us at the time of booking as we are able to provide much more interesting menu choices with prior notice.
